come on, that's an easy one.  You tell her that it pays to be careful because a few assholes on the forum repost again and again with fake names, sometimes even fake girl nicknames.  Then you apologize if you're wrong, and ask her where she lives.

Yes, absolutely right. The languages are pretty similiar, they were even more similiar back in the day. The first letter of words is identical many, many times. For instance I just think of some random words that are pretty similiar:

word - Wort

telephone - Telefon

harmless - harmlos

music - Musik

^those are almost exactly the same, there are a lot more like that. then here are some in which you cleary see connection although they arent as simiilar as the above one:

police - Polizei

damn! - verdammt!

street - Straße

water - Wasser

book - Buch

nerves - Nerven

......

*note: these words are chosen pretty randomly right on the spot by me, it's not like I gave you words that are known for being (nearly) the same like "bus" or words that on language adopted from the other like we did "toaster" and you did "kindergarten".
