all i can is HOLY SHIT! they have about 25 people that were listed for the story of the game during the credits and this game has the shortest. most incomplete story of any game i've ever play. i mean they have empty plots laced through out the game. if they had a press interview with the makers of the game, i could come up with 2 pages of unanswered questions

overall i have to say beside being a major dissappointment, it's a decent game

final rating: 7.5

it's crazy. I've read two completely different accounts of this game. Artemis says its awesome, you strongly disagree. I think i'll pass on it though. Peace

y no final fantasy 9 or 10 or 11??

for 2 reasons

1. final fantasy 8 seemed like a rehash of the final fantasies before it

2. i lost interest in Japanese RPG's. each japanese RPG game gives you less control of who you have in your team, what your people look like, what you can do.... while western RPG's are trying to advance in AI, free roaming and sometimes even morality choices (i.e. fable, KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind)

to me a ROLE playing game should have me playing the role or the main hero(s) not sitting back and watching a game walk me through a story

oh and i don't like Online RPG's... too many computer nerds, LEeT Sp33K, and everyone just wants to have the newest strongest shit. it's like if you were playing a final fantasy game and all the NPC's were nerds and jsut running around trying to find stronger weapons

After playing RPG's I'm always left with the feeling that I've wasted a lot of my life.  My saved game on Final Fantasy X showed that I had been playing the game for 40 hours total.  I still haven't beat the game but I'm close.  The only reason I play it sometimes is because my little brother likes watching me play it.

well World of Warcraft should be a terrific MMORPG... you sure you wont give it a try? I get what your point is and youre not wrong but I thought you'd play WoW too.. at least to get an idea how the game is. But what the hell I guess we couldnt play together anyway since America and Europe is on 2 seperated servers.. FUCKING BASTARDS.

i definitely feel what cartman is saying about the story and the length of the game... but the strength of this game is watching your character grow.  if you choose to be a melee fighter, your character becomes buff... if you choose to be a mage, your character will be skinny and older looking.  again if you are a melee figher, you're going to take some hits and your character will keep his war scars.  it definitely could've been better, but instead of focusing on what this game isn't... why not focus and appreciate it for what it is?  it's better than a lot of games out there and it might possibly be in the xbox top 10.

Yes, this game is DEFINITELY short.  The main quest is no where near as long as I thought it'd be, so I'm with you on that, Cartman.  However, I think thats the main aspect of the game you are looking at.  Fable was an extremely anticipated game, so what did you (and I) do when you first got it?  You played the crap out of it, so the game went by very fast.

However, I find that this game has quite a high replay value.  So far, I've made 3 (yes, three) characters, beat the main quest with all of them, and I'm still having fun.  Theres alot more to do in the game than the Main Quest.  Heres some things you can try to do:

1) Collect all the Silver Keys in Albion.  There are 25 keys in all.  The keys open up specially-locked chests around Albion...and yes, theres some pretty UBER stuff in those chests.

2) Try to open up all the Demon Doors.  Now this is replay value.  Man, it is a BITCH trying to open up some of those doors...but it definitely adds alot more fun to the game.

3) For every kind of weapon class (longsword, hammer, axe, longbow, etc.), there is one weapon in each class that is the very best of the class.  Try to find all the "legendary" weapons...this might take you a while.

Theres other things to do, but these 3 things have been keeping me mighty busy.  So far, I've put in over 35 hours into it, and I'm still having alot of fun with Fable.

i beat all the demon doors already, they're not riddles, they're common sense... after that i thought to myself... i have the best weapon in the game, the best armor, and there's no more "difficult enemies" left (because none of them were difficult in the first place) so what's really the point of playing the game?

Then don't play it.

i'm not  :P

this is the first game that i'm gonna do a walmart jackmove with and get my money back

another thing i found funny about this game is that if you go to the message boards at www.gamefaqs.com you'll see the most pathetic board you'll ever see.

people keep posting rumors about things in the game and the Fable Fanatics believe every single one of them, hoping against hope that this game is longer than 25 hours. as soon as someone tries to say it's a lie, they jump all over him calling the person stupid and ignorant... it's really quite a sight to behold
