KING VerbalAssaulta:
what do you mean ali backed it up..no more than jones...jones has lost twice...ali lost 5 times...it makes me so sick how everyone thinks ali was unbeatable or something...boxing was much bigger 25 years ago....ali would have got murdered by lennox lewis

Realistically speaking he is way more remebered for his initial return and his grill. It's lean mean fat reducing machine! If he comes back again and wins a title, then he'll be remembered for that.

Foir the record he wasn't so much KOed as he was worn out from punching. That shot Ali gave him wouldn't even have budged him if he was tired. This is why I think the corner had something to with this. A smart guy like Dick Saddler wou;ld have known what Ali was up to by the 4th or 5th a round a would have told George to lay off and let Ali come to him. He didn't do this, and I believe he was paid off, or Foreman was doped, which would also make sense. The bottom line is that either Ali or the commision were to scared to sign a rematch. I don't think they wanted Foreman to represent boxing because he wasn't a hero like Ali. Of course they easily could have turned him into one by having go against Cuba's Teofilo Stephenson, and use that patriotism bullshit to get the crowd behind him. I don't think Stephenson stood a chance against Foreman's power.

If this indeed happen then Boxing as we know it would have changed forever. Foreman would have had the belt until retirement. If he stuck around until '86, he could have beaten Tyson and ended that whole legacy. I don't think Tyson could have koed him, so unless Mike won by points he would have lost. Of course George probably would have retired by then.

King Tech Quadafi:
Lol @ george wouldve won if Ali didnt move around. That was his style, when ali stepped into the ring with george, he beat him end of story.

Im not gonna comment on whether Ali was the greatest, but to say hes not just because he lost 5 times is ridicolous. So is sayin Lewis ciouldve handled him.

I didn't say if Ali didn't move around, I said if Foreman's corner told him to stop punching himself out while Ali was rope a doping because it isn't working. Ali could have moved around all he wanted. George would have just had to stand there and wait. Once Ali got close enough he would have gotten it. How come no one has ever given me a logical reason why there was no rematch? That is the only reason I began to think the fight was fixed. It's not like Douglas and Tyson, where there could not have been a rematch due to Tyson going to jail. Foreman was there the whole time Ali was running around as champion. Frazier got a fight, and lost due to his stupid trainer throwing in the towel when Ali was clearly the one that couldn't go on to the next round. Then Frazier fought Foreman later that year and got Knocked Out in 5. Foreman has 5 losses, two of which are in question. Briggs never beat him, but "won on points", a fight that everyone watching thought Foreman won, and that joke of a fight with Jimmy Young where Foreman refused to do what his Trainer said and tried to fight with tricks instead of clubbing the guy. Then there is the fight with Ali which seemed more like a movie than a fight. He has 76 wins and 68 of then came by KO. If that isn't amazing I don't know what is.
