Without all it's elements HipHop wouldn't be hiphop. It's not for nothing the emcee soon took the main limelight from the dj, he's who made hiphop so big. I'm not saying he's more imortant, just mentioning that fact opposed to the fact you mentioned about the dj being first. None of em is more important than the other. As for Em's beats, I like some of em, and he might often use the same drums but not always and melodies ? how is Moment Of Clarity even similar to Solider.. anyway, he's not the only producer on his album and Dre who's one of the very best will porduce on it too so how could you know who's production's gonna be better? Replay value is not objective at all, I told you why not. Since you think it is, you should be able to come up with the reason why it is so please do that..

of course. denying that wouldn't be too reasonable. all i'm saying is it ain't a fact on the level of "a day has 24 hours" or "1+1 = 2"
thats not true at all...look at all the songs that get play right now...they all have good beats(besides the one i mentioned above), and only maybe 2 of them have good lyricism(breathe and go dj). beats will always be more important than rhymes when it comes to the majority. you will never hear a song with a bad beat get play, if its from an unknown artist. if you are already established, you can get away with it sometimes, if you make a corny song that you know will get attention because of controversy. if rap didnt have beats, it wouldnt be rap, it would be spoken word. we have heard 3 songs from eminems new album now. 2 of them are not good at all, and one of them is average(encore). dre did 2 of those beats(encore and supposedly mosh, which was so bad, i thought it was an eminem beat) and they weren't impressive. only thing we have now is bass brothers, and eminem? thats not much to look forward to. eminem always uses the same snare, hes like the white 9th wonder. as for replay value, i agree with you, i meant to put "not" objective, thats why i didn't follow up on it.
