I'm not a Yankees fan. To be honest I was cheering for Clemens durig these playoffs. You're from New York, I'm from Toronto remember?, and a proud Jays fan, except in 93 when all those non baseball fans jumped on the band wagon. I was the only guy in Toronto cheering for John Kruk. I am not a Yankees fan. I am a hater though, and won't bother denying that. I'm a very emotional sports fan.

As for the elimination of the playoffs; I only want that so the season would mean more, and the last 2 weeks would be special. Look how important the wild card race is. Imagine how much more important it would appear if it was for the title, and a World Series appearance. Playoffs are the only thing in baseball that get any ratings. It's a damn shame.

As for the Big Unit; I wish I could count how many great players the Yankees got from other teams while giving up nothing. Shit for Johnson, I would have given up Jeter, put Arod on SS, and brought Boone back. Jeter or no Jeter, if the Yanks had RJ they'd have beaten the Sox. I also think the Cards would have done better if they had started at home, like they should have. Stupd Bud Selig and friends and their stupid ideas to chage things. They wanna change something, they should put Joe Jackson in the Hall of Fame, where he belongs.

oh and for the record, the biggest chokers in sports aren't the Yanks. That title belongs to, unfortuantely, the team I've always cheered for (except during the Rob Johnson years), The Buffalo Bills.

1.  I didnt know you were from toronot
2.  The last 2 weeks are special of the baseball season, b/c you still have devision races going on.  And how is it more special if we go back to the old format.  If we went back to the old format with the way baseball is now 25 teams could call it quits right from the word go.  If that was the case, raitings for baseball would be even lower than they are now.  I really dont see what so exciting about that.  Excitment, what about the one game playoff between the mets an the reds in 99 where al letier pitched a one hitter.  If you want to go back to the old format, you would have to contract 6 to 8 teams an put a hard salery cap on baseball, an thats never going to happen
3.  RJ was never going to the yankees.  You just cant move jeter an bring boone back.  I believe jeter has a no trade clause.  I doubt he would waive it to leave a potential WS team for a last place team.  It would also be a HORRIBLE pr move, jeter is god like in ny.  The Dbacks also do not want to take on a big contract.  They want to save money an build from with in the organization. Takin jeter in a trade goes against that. IMO he is a great player but quite possibly the most overatted player in the game today.  Even if he is overatted tho, he is more valuable to the yankees than Arod is.  And you cant bring Boone back, he was out for the season.
4.  Yankees choke >>> the Bills of the early 90's choke

4.  Yankees choke >>> the Bills of the early 90's choke

1) I thought we spoke about Toronto before. My mistake.

2) I would like to see less teams and more competetition. That doesn't mean I'm expecting it. The best thing they can do for business now is shorten the season and start the playoffs in late August with 8 teams from each side. I don't like it, but it would work better with the common fans.

3) When I said I'd trade Jeter I was simply trying to express how much I'd give up for Randy. The bottom line is that Yankees have gotten big name guys for nothing before, and they'd do it again. Arizona wasn't going anywhere this year, or next year. They could have worked something out. Even if they didn't, the point I wanted to make was that Yankees needed one more Ace on their team, and that's why they lost.

4) How can a team with the most championships ever be a choke? I just don't get it. They still make it far and they'll probably go on another streak in a couple years. Besides losing to Boston isn't a huge deal. Boston is a great team, and should be looked upon as one. It was a close series and the Yanks lost. No shame there. Yanks lost to Florida who were way more hungry and had some very good pitchers, then they lost to the Schilling/Johnson combo which no one would have beat that year. That isn't choking it's just getting beat by a very good team. It's not that they break down under pressure, it's that the other teams plays it's ass off. Watch the four Bills Superbowls, and then watch the Bills during the season. You'll see a significant difference in play.
