Who taught Elvis how to play? The black man. It's the same story, played out over and over again, Elvis copied the style of African American rock artists, although he may have been sincere, and I believe he was, regardless, he became the superstar because he's white, and this white country is prejudice, and they want to listen to an average white artist before they'd listen to a great African American artist. The same thing is true today. Limp Bizkit is a perfect example of this. They are average at best, but they became superstars off of a style that was a rip-off of authentic hip-hop.
Face it... If America hadn't of enslaved Africa, there would of been no Elvis Presley or Eminem. They are products of African American culture.

You're an idiot. Even in the Rolling Stone Greatest artists, 6 of the top 10 are black. No one is taking away from black artists, but who was so great back then that you'd consider Elvis average. It's more than just being white, it's about being amazing. Yeah so blacks invented rock and with out it there would be Elvis, but a white guy invented Basketball, and white people made it an industry, and with out them there would be no Michael Jordan. It goes both ways.

I don't care what encyclopedia Britanicca says, I don't give white people credit for inventing basketball. Around the time James Naismith was alive slavery was still in practice, so you really think that a country that accepts slavery and reduces blacks to 3/5's a human being is really going to give them credit for inventing anything?
Besides, basketball had always been around in some form or another, James Naismith and company just had the resources to put basketball into the national spotlight. If a few slaves got together, or recently freed slaves got together and started throwing balls into a peach basket, you really think they would of had the resources and oppurtunity to develop that idea into a national pastime?

I could be wrong but I believed Basketball was invented in Canada not the US, and Canada didn't have slavery at that time.
