anybody play texas hold em? Who has won money at a casino?

I play kinda often these days with my friends.  Its a helluva lot of fun, and we don't play with a ton of money so you don't have to lose much (but can win good amounts) last night I won $25.

and for all you peeps that go to/have gone to casino's, whats the most money you have ever won?

back in august I was out of town in Nevada and went to a Winners Casino.  I spent 8 hours at 1 blackjack table.  I got wasted as hell, drinking the whole time, and I ended up winning $2000.  They actually cut me off, which if you know casino's , you know they rarely ever do this.  Its the only time I have ever walked away from a casino with more money than I started with.  At one point I was down $215, and I was like fuck it, and threw down a c-note and won.  after that I started making lots of $50, $100, and $200 bets.  I doubled down on a $200 bet, and so I had $400 on the line, and I won that hand.  That is the biggest bet I have ever made/won.

i dont really plan often... but all my friends do nonstop all day. they go to chumash indian casino like 30 minutes up from here.. im sure ACs prob heard of it .. i got a friend that plays real good, and poker is pretty much his source of income, he goes to chumash like 2-3 times a week, and makes about a $1000 more or less each week from it.

but yeah anyways, last year there was a UCSB student a fourth year, who accumulated 26,000$ through playing poker online. he then used that $26,000 to enter some poker tournament in las vegas, and then came out with 500,000$ out of that.. all over the campus papers and shit, fool took a quarter off  of school to just straight relax.

but, im not really the type of person to put money on the line like that. i rather just keep what i earn. i dont think i could live with losing a hundred bucks like that, when i know i could have just spent it on like a half oz and got really high for a couple nights.

Me and some friends have a game of texas holdem we play every Thursday. We put in 20 bucks and there's six of us. It's a nice little pot if you win. It was real competitive there for a while, but now it's kinda died down and it's all for fun. We've been playing for about a year and to tell you the truth, I think that I've lost/made the same amount of money.

I love the casinos. I've won some money and lost some money. My favorite part is getting scotched up at the 5 dollar black jack table!

i play 3 nights a week 5 10 and 20 buy in 6 -8 dudes its coo beetr when you hit that 150 pot i am tryin to get on the poker tour but thats a longshot

My thoughts exactly, when I got spare money I'll gamble it but if not I won't touch shit. I just like getting wasted at the bar....well you get wasted before you go, save more $$$ that way
