i dont understand why everyone trips so much over that....i never felt snoops album....its no different than somebody not feelin some old pete rock & cl smooth......

people act like doggystyle was the only album that "had that old school g funk feel to it"....if i want g funk ill put in regulators....i dont like snoops style....simple as that....never have....i felt like he improved a lot on R&G....but the album is totally different from the rest of his stuff...

i understand that everyone here likes doggystyle...what i dont get it why people like white boy get all defensive when someone doesnt like the same album....

but here....lemme give you guys some more shit to say.....all eyez on me wasnt all that....in fact i would bump still i rise, makaveli, me against the world, and possibly even until the end of time (if i cut it down to one disc and got rid of about 15 tracks) before i'd bump AEOM.

talk about that now

man u must not want karma that comment bout doggystyle is Blasphemy! You cant jus say that bout it its jus not possible it's like sayin the world is flat

Only albums I care about are Doggfather (4.5/5), Doggystyle (4.5/5) and Top Dogg (4/5). Snoop is the biggest hit-or miss rapper in history, and it's usually miss.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

NL Top Dogg was one of snoops tightest albums and yet peeps 4 get how dope it really was.
it had dr.dre, dj quik, warren g, nate dogg, xzibit and a gang load of other artists featured and on production.

Snoop has fallen off like every other great 90's artist.

1. Doggystyle
2. Last Meal
3. No Limit Top Dogg
4. Doggfather
5. Da Game
6. Paid the Coast
7. R&G The Masterpiece

^^ Shows just how much Snoop needs Dre's effervescence.

first off.....karma? you gotta be kidding me?

second....blasphemy is talking about god in the wrong way (ie referring to yourself as god, making fun of god etc....).....i would definitely not call saying a snoop album is not a classic "blasphemy"

I know good music when I hear it , and I think most of yall hating on r&g already made up your opinion before you even heard it . But in all honesty , and I aint no dickrider , the album has a couple of fillers , but it`s still a pretty solid release .

Its good to see people rating Last Meal pretty high, I really think that was the true 2nd rise of Snoop, and after that it was all down ....

Its just sad to see Snoop have to go to The Neptunes for production when Dre is only a phone call away! In a way u have to think what is Snoop doin'? (Even tho R&G has some tight cuts on it but there is alot of fillers.) Just look at ur catalogue, Snoop....every album that Dre has been apart of those are ur best records. (I still believe Doggfather was a GREAT follow-up to Doggystyle puttin' in to account that he didnt have Dre and he was pretty much "Stranded on Death Row". Its pretty much like sayin', what if Dre left Eminem with nothin', like he did Snoop, after "The Slim Shady LP", Eminem wouldnt know where to go and every1 wouldnt prolly even have gave his sop. album a chance!)

In a way tho starting out with Doggystyle as ur first solo album can be a great thing and it can be a horrible thing....there is just NO-WAY to top a record like Doggystyle, no-way! I dont care what kind of records he would have dropped after that, it would still "not be Doggystyle caliber"!

Anyways heres my list:

Doggystyle 10/10
Tha Last Meal 9.1/10
Tha Doggfather 9/10
No Limit Top Dogg 8/10
Da Game 7.9/10
R&G 7/10 (w/o "Like It's Hot" and "Oh No" wouldnt even get 4+ points)
Paid The Cost To Be The "Worst" 4.8/10 (again, no "Church To Da Palace" or "Beautiful" wouldnt top 2+)
