The Black Sox were the best team of the year, and maybe all time and they were the lowest paid team in the league. Comisky was a dick and I don't blame those guys for trying to support their families. It's not like today. Those guys made shit money.

Pete Rose placed some bets. So what? Unless he bet against his own team and went out of his wat to make them lose, I don't care what he did.

Even if Bonds did willingly take steroids, who doesn't. I bet 90% of the league are on or have been on it at some point. Particularly in the minors when you have to compete with everyone esle who do take them.




I'll vote other and say the worst scandal in sports was when Tonya Harding had Nacy Kerrigan taken out of competition. I mean having your boy friend do a hit, mafia style, on your opponent. It was terible, yet funny when you look back.


I will change my vote the second Don King comes out says he either a) paid George Foreman to lose to Ali, or b) had Foreman drugged mid way through that fight. I'll never belive that fight was legit. It was just a way to make money off a a returning Ali and an unmarketable Foreman needed to go. Ever wonder why their was no rematch.

exactly, he tried giving the money back, he went comisky to tell him about what was going on an he basically told him to fuck off.  Shoeless Joe had the best stats out of both teams.  But sadly he was guilty by association.
