Ocean's Twelve

Save your money. I mean I should of known better, since there was no purpose to make a sequel to Ocean's Eleven, but this was ridiculous. It was 2 hours and 5 minutes of overpaid actors goofing off on camera basically. Shitty plot and just basically boring movie.

It wasn't that bad... I mean it's obviously not near as good as Oceans Eleven, but it's worth watching...

Im going to see it today. I assumed before it came out that it wasnt going to be very good, just because they have no plot basis to make another one.
Everyone i know who has seen it has said its lousy/

normal is a projector, projecting film.

Digital is a projector, projecting a movie from a computer, so its like dvd quality.

I didn't think it was that bad, but yeah it was shameless, and the "Julia Roberts" scenes were just stupid, just them goofing off like you said.  Really not even that funny, just kind of a joke for the actors. They probably laughed their asses off... *SPOILER

*SPOILER

I think they mistakenly thought that we identify the 'tess' character as unique from Julia Roberts.  We don't.  Julia Roberts is such an incredibly strong persona that when you watch a movie, all you see IS Julia Roberts, you never see the character she plays, no matter how well she acts.  Now, luckily, nearly everyone universally adores her, so you don't really get sick of her overpowering her characters, but the idea to introduce "Julia Roberts" and Tess in the same scenes was just stupid, we already think of her as Julia anyways.

Plus, their was a plot line I didn't quite follow, maybe someone could help me.  At the end, the master thief is shown telling them that the real egg would be in a backpack, then they show the kid walking down the street, with the real egg in his backpack, he gets on the subway, they heist it there by switching the backpacks.  Now... that whole fucking part was confusing to me.  Was THAT the heist? Or was the kid simply delivering the egg to them, from the master thief, and they used the diversion to detract attention from the swap?

I guess it was supposed to be, the real egg was transported simple like that, while a replica went in the van, and they simply swapped it on the subway, but man, I can't imagine them being so careless as to send something that valuable with a kid with a bookbag, and two guards (whom you see with ear pieces when they first get on the train sitting with the kid).  Is that how that works? That was the real egg, and the way they were transporting it to the show?  If that's true, wouldn't they have noticed it was a fake when the kid got there and delivered the egg?

It's just a fucking LOUSY plot, unless I'm missing some huge key here.

Just got back from seeing it in graumans chinese theater where it was premiered  ;D

Anyways, I gotta disagree with my nigga again. I enjoyed it. Its not supossed to be an oscar movie you just gotta take it for what it is. The plot did twist a whole lot and I didnt really keep up with it all but it was just a fun ride. Just seeing that many stars in the locations that they were in was just fun itself.

OK now 2 things I didn't understand.

1.WTF was bernie mac's part in this whole thing? what happened with him in the begining and in the end? and what was his whole deal with Rusty Ryan?

2. The thing that Trauma mentioned.

BTW I thought the french guy laser scene was pretty sick, lol

And of course Brad Pitt was my nigga, great job. Oh yeah his fake hair did kinda look funny though, I don't know what they did, wig? extensions or whatever that was, but it looked funny as hell, lol

Shit was OK...

It just seemed like they threw in some of the plot twists just cause they could. It got to be a litte much IMO.

They had the real egg before it was even delivered. There was no reason for them to go and try to steal the replica. LOL.
