I'm sitting here with a magnet, I was stickin it to stuff, then I held it up to my monitor.  I just did it in the corner of the screen and I noticed that it made all kinds of colors.  So I take it right across the whole screen.  It looked cool, but then it left a dark streak across the screen and I can't get rid of it. lol

It eventually went away I though, We still got the old ass TV and it still works good.

if you have a menu on your monitor, look for an option with an upside U with a line through it...it's called a Degauser...use that and it should get rid of the line...you may have to use it more than once

I work with arcade monitors, if you do it right, you can adjust the dark line you made by using the magnet again.  I've got a special degausing coil you just use on them, but it's basically a magnet anyways.
