My message to all Game haters, opposers, etc etc...

I notice that this board has a lot of people who aren't feelin Game for whatever reasons. Whether they hate his image, whether they think he just sucks, whether they think he's alright but overhyped, whether they don't know why he said/did this or that, etc etc etc.This is coming from somebody who's met him personally and is cool with most of his camp and works with them, not from just some dickrider or whatever else you want to call it.

For one, I realize that nobody can every please everybody, especially in the game of rap. No matter how good an artist is, there are gonna be 100 reasons that may sound legit to why people will knock them. Some people may just be mad that it's not their favorite artist in that position, and some may really have valid reasons to not like whoever it is. So I never ever ever ever get mad when I hear anybody say bad things about Game, whether it's on this board, or people I know in person from LA or wherever else. I realize that's just how it goes. I may even agree with some of the criticism that people have about Game. Just because I'm coo with BWS doesn't mean I am gonna agree with every thing he does, and disagree with anything bad said about him, because that's just fakin it.

But there are some things that I think we should all realize, no matter hom much you love or hate Game. For one, do you realize the position he is in right now? I honestly can't remember a west coast rapper bein in this good of a position to blow up since the early 90s, arguably since Pac and Snoop. He's not just one of that MANY west coast rappers who had the chance to blow up but got caught in the politics...he is REALLY comin out in less than a month, and already has the first single that already has a helluva buzz. I don't care how average you may think he is, the fact that he is in this position should make you happy if you are truly a west coast fan. I will definitely admit that I think Crooked I, Ras, and a few others are better rappers overall, but they aren't in this position. And with the way that the industry is, and the way that image and shit sells more than anything else, Game may arguably be one of the very best west coast rappers to fit this position to open up the door for everyone else. Do you REALLY think Ras Kass would have mass appeal with the things he says about caucasians? He's controversial, but not in the way that would definitely make him sell more. Game is controversial enough to sell a lot, but not to where it would damage his career. Of course it's been other rappers that may be better, but why do you think Dre signed Game of all people? He realized that he has what it takes for him to appeal to the masses, and based on your opinin, he is still very above average.

As most know, I go to school in Florida, and it's a 90% black school that has people from everywhere around the country and outside. I don't think any west coast rapper since Pac has got the props and love that Game has gotten from people that I know out there. Of course you can say that "if Crooked I had been on all those mixtapes and magazines, they'd like him more" but lets face the facts and stop sayin IF because IF is a helluva word. Game has reminded them that the west does have talent, and this has already opened the doors to other west coast artists and he hasn't even dropped. I don't know if y'all believe it, but many major companies have at least one west coast artist either signed, or on the verge of bein signed, that will definitely get promoted and have an album released depending on how well Game's album sales.

So basically....I'm not sayin this to stop all of the negative comments about Game, because that doesn't matter much to me. All I am sayin is you should all at least respect the position he's in, and that havin him come out period is better than the 100s of let downs we've had in the last few years when it comes to west coast rappers.

way i see it is.. the same poeple hating on game are the ones that hate on dre, snoop and aftermath all the time... they're just haters plain and simple..

these same people are the type that if their 'favourite rapper' blew up commercially they'd spend the first 2 months getting angry coz they think only they're allowed to like em.. then they'd switch up and call em a sellout..

Anyway, I still don't like Game. I can see he's in a position where he could give the West more exposure... but is this the exposure the west wants/needs?? Is he making westcoast music or pulling a 50-cent to fame? I think it's sad the west can't come up by itself and need assistance from the G-Unit. Matter of fact... how west are you yelling "Wessyde" and "Compton" every 10 seconds and claiming G-Unit? I just can't understand it, how I see it, the kid is trying to get his spotlight, sell his 4 million records with 50 and not care about coasts.

Bottom line is I don't give a fuck if the west "comes back" or not. I just want dope west music to bump in my car, my house, and my mp3 player... fuck the mainstream, the magazines, and the radio.

I'm totally with you on this one man...
People should really stop looking for reasons to complain, because you'll ALWAYS be able to find something to complain about. You gotta look at things from a different perspective.

Some of you are always talking about "man, I can't wait till the West gets back into the spotlight", well, instead of concentrating on his "NY flow" and such & such, you should be glad that somebody from the West Coast is in the spotlight right now, and is blowing up as hell!

Seems like some of you just don't want to be excited about something.
Fuck it, do what you wanna do...all I can say is that I support Game and that I'm feeling his music, plus he's repping for the West...what more could I ask for more?

Well, you can follow the chain here....."IF" Game is coming up because of G-Unit....Well, G-Unit came up from 50 Cent-50 Cent came up from Eminem-Eminem came up from Dr. Dre---that's the end of the chain Dr. Dre  And that's westcoast!

Also, does 50 Cent sound eastcoast?  To me, NO.  He has a wescoast appearance and I think that G-Unit is more "West" than anything else.  Those are my 2 cents.

nice post and i agree with you. i like Game´s music and shit but he´s not one of the best comin out of the west coast but he´ll open doors for a whole lot of west coast artists to get their shine on. and he does support and bunch of promising west coast mc´s(Glasses,Crooked I,Scipio etc)and if he does songs with them and then blows up peeps are gonna check for the peeps he´s down with. love him,hate him or whatever y´all should be happy if he blows up no matter what coz it´ll be a chain reaction and a company like Universal might finally give 40 Glocc,Jayo and Crooked I the promotion that they deserve.

Well, that's what i was saying in that other thread about Game's tracklist. My entire problem is... Game WILL bring the westcoast back in the USA's charts, but he should keep his ass busy promoting other west coast talent instead of just having people like snoop, nate, 50 and dre on his album. Therefor I just hope that tracklist that got posted here... is fake.

From my point of view.. Game is talented, but he wouldn't even be half of where he is now without Dre's productions. He's by far not the most talented in the west, but you're right, he IS the one to shine right now. Let him do his thing. I'll cop his album for sure.
