Fish Tanks?

Do any of yall have fish tanks at your place?  The fiance and I are looking to get one, I really want a salt water tank cuz the fish are awesome colors and I really like the reefs.  Any pics would be great to see the different kind of tanks that can be created.

yeah i've got two but they are fresh water tank...i thought about getting salt water but it seems like too much work...i've had Platy's, loaches, plecos, tetras, rafaels, and a bunch of different catfish

clown loaches are by far the hardest fresh water fish to raise yet

If you've got the cash, have somebody take care of your saltwater for you. I've got a niec 55 gallon with a bunch of live rock in my place. It's pretty cool and I have a dude that comes out every month to take care of it and make sure everything is set up properly.

i liked figuring out how to set things up myself.... when i first got into aquariums when i was younger...i thought you just buy a tank, some rocks and you throw some fish in....that led to a bacteria bloom and some fish ate the other fish (one dwarf puffer killed the other, tried to kill my betta, my pleco attacked my spotted rafael...) not i've got two crystal clear tanks, one with drift wood and java ferns the other just has floating sprite because my amazon sword plant and my madagascar lace plant died....

i think the madagascar lace plant is the best looking fresh water plant because sometimes you can get flowers to bloom...plus the leaves are broad and see through....shit just looks cool

I have a 20 gallon fish tank that takes fresh water. I'v got two small goldfishes and it's hard to maintain it. You gotta clean it once a week. A fish tank with salt water is a lot harder to maintain not mention more expensive. Good luck!

the way i keep my tanks clean is that i just buy filters for the next tank size up...they seem to work wonders....also fresh water fish can live with a little salt in the tanks, the salt actually helps clean the tank of any algae

oh and i have some LED underwater spotlights in my tank for at night... blue in one and green in another... they look really good. they give the tank and the room a cool effect at night... it's an erie glow and it casts the fish's shadows on the walls. here's the link to their other aquarium roducts

I think we gonna start with a 108 gallon salt water tank, we need about 100 pounds of live rock, im also gonna put clams, and maybe a sea horse.  im only goin to collect rare fish, and not have like 100 nemos.

man unless you got $$$$$ and TIME i'd go with the freshwater tank....the fact of the matter is many fish you buy end up dying anyway so in my opinion go fresh water. the arangements are endless and the variety of fish are too. i've had a tank since i was 7. i started with a 5 and worked my way up to a 50 gallon. the secret is to buy a community of fish....first you want to start out with a couple of the sucker fishes, the kind that stick to glass, they help eat the algee and shit off the glass , you only need two or three of them. then a couple of bottom feeders i dont' know what the ones i have are called but they have a banna shaped snout and have little tenacle and crap at the end, lol, but they help keep your gravle clean and pretty, and save you time and money so you don't have to get one of those rock sucker vaccums. anyways get  3 of those. then fill the rest up with whatever you want.  but remember only have so many fish. you're only suppose to have one inch per gallon....meaning if you have a 10 gallon tank only have 10 inches of fish, i have like 51 inches, but an extra inch isn't going to hurt. oh yeah also keep a stock full of those stress drops, they help keep your fish alive and it's like weed for them 8)
