Frooty Loops & Other beat-making software
« on: February 10, 2005, 05:52:50 PM »
What is the best one?  I've heard a lotta people say Frooty Loops, but I've never really used any of them.  Where can I get it and how much is the full version?

Cool...I'm gonna have to find somethin' real soon to enter a contest.  So far I've just been using instrumentals.

Of course it all comes down to this: what do you do with the software :P
But my first choice is Reason, takes some time before you understand all of it, but definitely worth it. Imma gonna use it in combination with Cubase, so I can make more different beats and use also some plugins from Cubase.

Tsjaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I've been working with FL for a couple of years the workflow is amazing when it comes down to drum sequencing. You need to get some good plugins to go along with it like equalizers and compressors and of course instruments. I play using a midi keyboard 8) It does take a little while before you understand how to use it though. If your really serious about it you can make it work.

I need somethin' fairly simple cause the deadline for the contest to complete a demo is March 18.

I've got Acid Pro 3.0 right now....I've heard that 5.0 you can make beats.  Is that true?

I would choose fruity loops 4 producers edition. You don`t need another program for beat making. It got a FX panel wich is incredible (lots of dope effects, compressor`s, EQ`s, reverb, filter`s etc). You can also work with VST plug ins there, and it also has a master.

I've found GarageBand very intuitive and fun to use... make sure to post up any bangers you end up producing  8)
