He's a good rapper, but he struggled on the album. The beats were pretty tight overall, but each time he got a guest on the track they showed him up. To be honest he's my least favourite G-Unit rapper - he's tighter than 50 and Game lyrically but lacks their charisma, and Buck shits on him on both fronts.

I think he's got some good lines here and there but he has the most repetitive style I've ever heard.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

His album was dope, imo, but he needs subject matters, that's why you get quickly bored of the album.
He's not telling any stories, and not much about himself, like you'd expect from a solo album.

I used to hate the fuckin album. I gave it a chance, it has some heaters. Overall a decent effort that I still bump in my ride from time to time.

he switched his style and sounds rather boring nowadays

listen to his verse on the Soldier remix (G unit over Em's soldier beat) that's some raw shit right there, the way he uses his voice n shit was totally different back then. If his album was like that I'd prolly love it even with the lack of subject matter.

When I read eveyrone's opinions I get a feeling they listened to the beats & not his lyrics. How do I feel about his album???I think its dope lyrically & beat wise. After all the stuff he did on the G-Unit album,u can tell he saved the best lyrics for his solo shit, cause he really did step his lyrics up.Ive read lots of people complaining that he really didnt talk about anything on his album, then what the hell were these songs about???

-I Get High
-I'm So Fly
-Warrior Part 2
-Karma
-Til The End
-South Side Story
There's lots of albums that have only like 1 or 2 songs about a certain topic like Xzibit's Restless album.U know what I mean???

BANKS IS THE KIND OF DUDE WHO U WANT SPITTEN 16 ON A FEATURED SONG. HE SOUNDS HELLA SICK WITH G-UNIT WHEN HE SPITS JUST ONE VERSE. INSTEAD OF DOING THE WHOLE SONG

Couldn't have said it better. Looking for much more than I got with the album. It may be because I was expecting more. I think that's why I liked Young Buck's album. Never really took him serious so I wasn't really for anything in particular so his album was a nice surprise.
