Shallow, donīt be too biased, though i admit i wouldnīt be surprised about a ineloquently written second-rate crime story with a few predictable attempts to sound profound, which all the Infinites in the world will be incredibly impressed by and go on about how īdeepī it is either. nevertheless, it could be good, you never know. also, i think itīs a bit too simple to say that 1. all books with an obvious appeal are the less interesting ones only preferred by unexperienced readers and that 2. almost nobody reads books anymore. Movies cannot replace books and vice versa. And thereīs great books that i guess even newbie readers would enjoy and that are still great writing...take "Catch 22" for example, the book is amazing from any criticīs perspective and very entertaining to read at the same time.
