It's nowhere near 100 million dollars. It's more like 14 million. You have to take into account how much it costs to make, distribute, and advertise the album. It's over half of the profit. People seem to think record companies get so much more than they really do. If an artist gets $1 per album than the record company gets like $2 per album. Which is most likey the case here.

encore sold 1.9 million in 10 days

so em definately hold the record for highest first week sales
