game is still going strong, that's good.  as for 50 i expected his sales to be so high with all the shit he pulled before the release of the album

Dre knows what he's doing.  That isn't Dre's style at all.  Remember back in the day, they would drop a video like "Wit A Dre Day" at the beggining of the summer and let that video ride all summer long, then right at the tail end of the summer they would drop "Let Me Ride" and it would ride it out on MTV for about another 3 months. 

"How We Do" started off a little slow as a single, so people were calling for another single way too soon, you got to give these songs a lot of time to pick up steam, and it finally did pick up a lot of steam, now you got to give it it's full exposure.  Then after it has totally died, that's when you drop "Dreams". 

Why rush everything?  That was never the style back in the glory days of hip-hop.  Rushing singles and video's was something Jay-Z started doing when he had about 4 singles "Hard Knock Life" "Money Ain't Thang" "It's Alright" and "Can I Get A" all riding the charts at the time of his albums release, it worked, so other rappers have followed suit.  But that's not Dre's style, Dre's has an old school mind.
