Restless or the Documentary?

Given the game vs. xzibit drama, i was wondering which album you thought was better.  I think it's a pretty good comparison, both albums were executive produced by dre, both had a lot of hype before their releases.  this is xzibit's best selling album to date, it went double plat i think.  So take your pick

I'm gonna have to give the slight edge to restless. Cause that album really did try and put the west back on, it had quik, the liks, king tee, suga free, snoop, defari, and they all came tight, not to mention the battlecat production along with dre and quik

Restless no doubt, tha production, guests, lyrics ALL on point. 5/5 imo

Documentary was a solid debut for Game, but he aint got skillz like X, period.

Restless is still bangin' every time I play it, no need to skip any tracks.

The Documentary is getting a bit boring, I only bump a few tracks of it every now and then. Ever since I first heard it, The Documentary has had some weaker cuts (fe. Don't Worry). I can't see myself bumping The Documentary, 2 years from now... Let alone 5 years from now or longer.

Documentary: 8,75/10

Honestly, I can see myself listening to documentary in a few years and still thinking it's pretty good, the beats are good enough to allow that, and his lyrics are pretty clever, for the most part

This is a good comparison thread, because both these records are products of similar conditions and the sounds are somewhat similar.  Although Xzibit was already a proven vet in the game who had earned his stripes with his critically acclaimed "40 Days and 40 Nights" album. 

I chose Xzibit's Restless LP.  Maybe that's because I was a bigger hip-hop fan at the time Xzibit's album was released.  I just like Xzibit more because he represents more of an old-school 90's hip-hop sound and way of thinking, Game is new-school, and hip-hop is dead now anyway.  Peace.
