There was something in the XXL issue that had the making of Makaveli.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the song was originally Dre produced and for Danny Boy, however when Dre left he sold the beat to Teddy Riley who tweaked it and used it for "No Diggity"

i'm not saying this is wrong, but i kinda doubt that shit.  at the time, all dre's shit was crazy synths (by this point they were overdone--i'm glad he changed his style up) and "no diggity" is a sample from a bill wither's song called "grandma's hands".  it just doesn't really fit what dre was doing at the time....

found the issue of XXL with the Making of Makaveli...

EDI:  That's a song that was already done.  Suge had it done with Danny Boy and Jodeci on it.  That's my least favorite song on Makaveli.  'Pac just got on the track and did his thing.  That was some shit him and Suge had already worked out.  And the crazy part that a lot of people don't know is that that song was originally [Blackstreet's] "No diggity" beat, 'cause [Dr.] Dre had did that "No Diggity" beat while he was still at Death Row.  And Suge had it.  But then Dre sold the shit to Teddy Riley.  The beginning of those songs were almost exactly alike.  I don't know who bit off who.  I ain't here to start no shit, but in the beginning "No Diggity" and "Toss it up" were almost exactly alike.  Yeah, you would have to be there to know that.
