Eazy was never meant to be a rapper - he was an entrepreneur. He only ever recorded 'Boyz N Tha Hood' because the New York crew Cube wrote the rhymes for wouldn't record the track as it sounded too West Coast.

Eazy didn't know about writing lyrics - he couldn't even rap well (most of the time, when someone wrote lyrics for him, they had to record vocals as well so he could learn the flow). But he was a marketing genius and a shrewd businessman - knew what it took to make a buck.

Eazy was a gangsta. He was no rapper but the nigga had a dope voice. but a nigga did write some of his lyrics. he wrote quite alot in the last 3 years of his carer.i know dat for a fact.

Yeah thats the thing I dont understand. How come Eazy-E was the performer on 'Boyz N Tha Hood' and not Ice Cube.

Boyz N Tha Hood was written for some east coast group who refused to rap west coast shit...

Dre had the studio booked.. Eazy was there so Dre made him rap it instead of wasting the studio time money
