There's a lot of talented up-and-coming artists in the West right now: Young Hootie, Dynamic Certified, Dirty Birdy, etc...but who'll blow up commercially? Simple: the one who's got the biggest label behind him with the biggest budget for promotion/video/etc...

I think Crooked I's got a big chance though...since he's with Universal + he's got that "mainstream-appeal" too.
Ras Kass too - that feature in the XXL mag gave him some shine again...

it has to be crooked i in my opinion. the guy is unbelievable, i dont think i have ever heard a verse that he didnt kill.  Then again though by looking at whats on bet and mtv skills dont seem to be what the mainstream is looking for (see camron,chingy,gay-unit)

Is he even still on J Records? They put the single out and then nothin happened after that. His cd Judgement Day got a few cuts on it but thats just a compilation of songs and shit he did on the radio. I was looking forward to his album but what the fuck is goin on with him?

Oh yeah, and there aint no doubt in my mind that Crooked I will be the next to do big thangs from the West.
