Highly anticipated albums that dissapointed
« on: August 05, 2002, 11:01:17 AM »
what are some albums that you highly anticipated and then were disapointed with.  It doesn't mean they are bad albums, just they didn't live up to your hype.

Tha Doggfather- this is my most anticipated album ever.  I was so damn excited about it.  Still a really good album, but I was disapointed.

Lunatik Musik- Operation stackola is a classic in my eyes, and this one just did not live up to my expectations.  Again still a good album, but not as good as I expected.

Take a look over your shoulder- Just not on the same level as his first album, but still a good album.

word to that.  Especially when mellowman came on here and talked so highly about it.  Same thing with the bones soundtrack too.

Bones & wash could have definetly been better. And I know some people r gonna kill me for sayin this, but I thought Xzibits Restless could have been better. Its still a good album, and I still bump it ocassionally, but I was expecting somethin alittle more raw like 40 dayz and not so commercial.
Another BIG disappointment in my book was Ice Cube's War and peace albums. Man, i only played that shit like twice. That cd dont even got a scratch on it

i think the firm cd got wayyy better with time...

the wash (incredibly disappointed cause i was expecting half the shit to be dre and snoop reunion)

snoop- da game

ma$e- double up (his first cd was nice...you can't deny bumping it one time or another)

biggie- born again (just thought it'd be way better)

black rob- life story (never felt it)

canibus- THS

dr.dre- concrete roots (when i saw the track "another g thang" i was expecting another chronic like cd but that was way back when i didn't know alot about rap so i didn't know what i was buying...it's like a djing and shit)

dr.dre- presents the aftermath (the two singles were hype, but there was only two other good songs on the whole cd)

training day- soundtrack (only a few song i like on it)

busta rhymes- the coming (after hearing the first single i thought it was gonna be a dope cd...but i haven't listened to it in like 3 years at least)

puff daddy- (anything after no way out...you can't deny that, that wasn't a good cd because it was tight)

that's all i can think of right now, peace.
