Source scandal continues
« on: April 19, 2005, 01:24:38 PM »
HiphopDx.com just broke an exclusive story detailing more scandals at The Source magazine, as told by former music editor Reginald Dennis.

"People were literally holding hands under the table and both men and women exchanged tear-filled glances. I’ve even heard that there was an Uzi on the table. It was, they said, the worst staff meeting ever."

Major props for posting this.  This is one of the best hip-hop stories I've ever read! (still reading it, it's sooo long)   This thread should be 3 pages long.  That Dr. Dre part was really interesting.  I haven't finished reading, but I'm wondering how after these guys left in 94, the magazine still maintained it's high standard for about another 6 years.  And it was still atleast decent until this Eminem/Benzino thing really took off.  Anyway, the article brought back a lot of great memories of what hip-hop used to be like in the early 90's.  Much props!
