How come some artist go uncredited on albums?

Example of what im talking about

Kanye West doesnt get the featured credit on
Jay-Z - The Bounce

Bone Thugs~N~Harmony dont get the featured credit on
The Notorious BIG - Notorious Thugs

Avant doesnt get the featured credit on
Lloyd Banks - Karma

and a few more I noticed but cant think of now. anybody know why that happens?

I think abetter question would be how come blatant rip offs of other songs that get looped to make hit rap songs get no mention in the sample or replayed material department. At leat when Kanye is on a track but isn't credited you know he was on it, because you hear hiim rap, but when Dre rips off an old song and has his musicians replay it, even though he paid for it, people leave thinking it was Dre's musical genius that was responsible when all the credit should really go to the real composer.

you sure? i thought the booklett said "additional vocals by avant"?

^ well if the boklet said av- avant than why did you say that as an example. anyway the book says av-KC, id scan it and put it up but my scaner isnt installed yet when i reinstalled windows so youll have to take my word for it

I know the remix to Karma (which was the single) features Avant.

It's messed up sometimes. Cash Money is known for leaving certain artists uncredited, meaning they aren't even credited for additional vocals or anything :-X

As long as the artist is paid, it's legal.

he was under contract by Death Row, Suge didnt allow his name printed

Yes they do. It says "additional vocals by Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Bizzy Bone" in the booklet.

legally they dont have to be on there.. as long as they get paid n all that...

back in the day no one used to be on that shit.. they've only done it more n more in recent years

old cd's barely have producer or guest credits
