I think i'm starting to HATE gangsta rap...

Seriously, every young gangsta rapper that's comin out, i don't give a flying fuck about them. I only listen to Ice Cube, Luniz, Snoop Dogg, 213, DJ Quik, Xzibit, Dre, etc, etc, cuz I've been a fan for a long, long time. But i seriously don't give a shit about all the young westcoast or eastcoast, or whatever coast gangsta rappers. Their shit is weak. There's so much music out there, why limit yourself to the same recycled garbage over and over again. I think gagnsta rappers need to move the fuck on and start rapping about some relevant issues if they want to capture my attention. If i hear another song about lowriders, guns, bloods & crips, crack, money and hoes, i think i'm gonna have a heart attack. So if any one of you aspiring young gangsta rappers are reading this, reconsider your plans and do something else, cuz gagnsta rap is getting old!!! I know there's always gonna be a market for gangsta rap, but as for myself, i'm tired, and don't blame me for not givin a shit about new artists and not supporting them. There is OTHER music out there, much more original and creative and thought provoking.

i remember back in 8th grade i was always playin The Chronic & Doggystyle then I read the samples, so for like a year all i listened to was P-Funk.

then like a year and a half ago i lost interest again (chingy getting a record deal was apart of it) so all i was playin was r&b, old school rock, pop, etc

I just say, if eventually you get tired of something, it's just a stage. Myself, once in a while I'll just listen to some R&B, oldies, or resently Spanish music, like Cumbia, but for the most part I keep it gangsta... I don't even know for how many years.

It's good to listen to all kind of music you like. I don't think there is anyone who doesn't like anything else than gangsta. 95% of my albums are gangsta rap, but It's refreshing to hear something different now and then. Well and nowadays there has been less really good albums and that has naturally affected me as a record buyer.

Good music is good music, I can't think of it any other way. Right now I'm listening to spanish chillout, just the right music for this moment. I'm open for any good experiences with music as a whole...

personally i am the farthest thing away from "gangbangin" but i have a obsession with gangsta rap and i NEVER get sick of it.  the only music i listen to is rap except for the 3 hard rock bands i have loved my whole life guns n roses, alice n chains, and pearl jam


i dont listen to every new cat from the west, but i still always listen to short dog, spice, dpg, luniz, c-bo, ice cube, celly cel
