50 Cent brought the West Coast back
« on: May 17, 2005, 04:22:31 AM »
Sorry to say it, I am not a fan of G Unit at all, I dont own 1 song they have ever done. But you have to admit that its fact.

If The Game was not affiliated with 50, and didnt have 50 on those tracks, he would not be where he is now. This fact stands despite Game being Dr Dre's artist. Dre isnt in the spotlight to push him as far as hes gone. Knocturnal, Hittman etc were with Dre, but they didnt stand a chance of reaching the success Game has. Its all down to that G Unit affiliation. Sorry to say it.

Snoop commercially came back strong with the PIMP remix, and the whole DPG Unit thing, again with 50 Cent, and with the help of Neptunes.

Interscope and Dre know what they are doing.

game couldve done it without fifty. Dre is the mastermind behind it all. How you think em and fifty started their career. Its because they were all affiliated with dre.

yea you could say that but it all comes back to Eminem and Dr.Dre coz without them 50 wouldnīt have sold shit(i mean he wouldīve gone platinum but thatīs about it). so Em and Dre technically brought the west "back". and Hittman wouldnīt have made it commercially if he had been on G-Unit records coz his songs didnīt really have any commercial appeal. and when was Knocturnal ever with Dre? heīs never been signed to Dre and if he had been on a better label they wouldīve made sure that the EP and album didnīt leak several months before it was released.

I heard The Game's album back along and it was full of bangers. The best new westcoast rap album I have listened to in years. But then it could be the only one I have heard in years too . . . I don't listen to rap anymore.

I need to hear that new Snoop, I love "Signs".

Que is 100% right. 50 made it for Game. Dre made it for 50 and Em. But of the 3 ppl, Em and 50 had real talent. Its stupid to say Game came out of nothing and made it into the mainstream. With what Game had going for him, its a miracle he didn't sell 2 million. His fame was pre-packaged from the begiining, and with the help of G-Unit he was practically dragged into the spotlight.
