D: First off I would like to say thanks for the interview. What have you been up to on the music tip lately?

BA: Oh Im doing big things of late homie, for a minute I just sat back in the cut and studied the game and now I am busy writing and getting shit cracking on the next album you know.

D: How is the album coming along with you, Technic, Crooked I and Lil C Style and when do you guys expect it to drop?

B.A.: Well you know each individual is working on their solo careers so that might take a while to come out. Crook, Tech and Lil Style got their own shit to do but when we are all free we are gonna really chop it up and put this thing out. It will probably come out on Koch.

D: The west coast conference seems like it has done alot of good for the music scene out west as far as mc's gettin together and squashing their beefs. What impact do you think the conference will have for west coast rap in the future?

B.A.: Oh man I think the conference is a good idea. Things were really heated here you know, I got my ass beat bad by Suge and his homies. Them niggaz really brought it to me you know, Im from Hawaiin Gardens and what not and I aint never seen no shit like that in the neighborhood I came up in. I basically rolled with skateboarders & taggers before I hooked up with the DPG & them. So this conference should make it safer for us rappers and help bring back the coast.

D: There has been alot of tension and beefing with the DPGC as a whole and with the conference we have seen Daz, Snoop and Kurupt settle their differences. You out of all the DPG's have a different take being that things have gotten physical during the beef. Is everything cool again with you and Kurupt?

B.A.: Yeah like I said it was real rough when I got my ass beat by them niggaz. I haven’t hollered at Kurupt in a minute dogg cuz I took that shit personal when he didn’t do nuthin when they almost killed me. The DPG is a family though and just like in a normal family you have differences, so do we. I remember one time you know we were at Dennys after a session and Daz had some bacon stuck in his mustache and me and Kurupt didn’t tell that nigga shit and he was walking around with bacon in his mustache all night. That’s the kinda light hearted family shit we be on.

D: What is the odds of everyone in the DPGC sitting down and doing a compilation album like what Snoop is talking about?

B.A.: Oh man I dunno you know. Snoop is kinda shady with the business end of this shit, look at how he has done Eastsidaz and Kokane and them. And that nigga Soopafly look at him, dude aint never put out an official album, he sitting their broke in hopes of Snoop throwing him a bone. Snoop would have to give me a check up front for me to be part of that shit.

D: You have worked with all the heavy hitters on the west and I felt that Personal Business was a classic album. Are you still looking for a label deal, or could you hook up with Daz on DPGRecordz for your next album?

B.A.: Hell yeah homie Im looking for a deal with a major. My last 2 albums didn’t push as many units as I had hoped, promotion was real shitty. I mean I need my shit played on BET and MTV, maybe even a TV show you know. Bad Azz Televizzle don’t sound too bad to me. The thing with a nigga like me is I need to be promoted properly. I feel that I can be the next one to blow from the coast. If my shit had been handled right I coulda sold more than The Game and I don’t even got no butterfly tatted on my face you feel me nigga?

D: Yeah I definitely feel you on that. Only seems like there are certain artist that are getting the push. Are you gonna do any more albums with Big Hollis?

B.A.: Nah I aint really interested in working with that fat nigga. That album he put out was unauthorized. That nigga is a weasel.

D: I always wondered was the LBC Crew a group Snoop came up with or were you guys always a group and have you guys sat down and talked about doing a album?

B.A.: LBC Crew is basically an extended DPG fam you feel me nigga? Its like we all had ideas about it but Snoop finally realized he can get a pay day off of that shit. But I aint tryin to do that shit if it has Neptunes production and all that bullshit. Gimme a Battlecat beat and no bullshit guest appearances and Im down. This aint gonna be a trainwreck like 213 was. TVT shouldnt of even really taken a gamble on that shit.

D: Do you keep in touch with Tray Dee since he got locked up?

B.A.: Nah not really. That nigga doing his thing. I wrote him a letter once. It’s a fucked up situation. I kinda feel like Snoop left that nigga out to dry. I wasnt really raised round no niggaz like him, you know Hawaiin Gardens aint really like that.

D: Any last words or shout outs?

B.A.: Yeah my last words is to any major label, sign me. If you want a real nigga that can spit and do his thing then holla at me. Im a vet in this game, check my stripes. Jamar Stamps aka Mr. Bad Azz aint no joke nigga.
