Exclusive: Planet Asia Speaks On Rumors
« on: May 27, 2005, 03:50:23 PM »
According to the SOHH's YaHeard page, Fresno's Planet Asia got jacked for his chain recently at a Game concert.

Asia spoke with DubCNN about the situation and disspelled all untrue rumors. Here's what he had to say:

For all you Backpackers out there, first of all, none of the artists you are trying to compare me to are similar to me. I was born in the Projects, I grew up in the Projects. My hands been dirty. I never grew up with everything like most of these Backpack cats ya'll comparin' me to. Very few cats get their chain back when they get jacked. You really gotta be in the streets to get yo chain back.

For the rest, go to www.Dubcnn.com!!!

(Dubcnn Note: While the the bulk of the story was true, there were many facts that weren't. So don't always believe what you read unless its from the horses mouth.)

Hey, remember I never claimed the rumours around Game were true  :P

Umm... So, what's Planet Asia been saying here in this little interview? Nothing much really, he hasn't even told us what REALLY went on.

Also, Game did not get me my chain back, I don't even know him like that. Someone affiliated with was the one who got it back.

Planet Asia never gets punked! I never lost a fight! I never been jumped! I walks dolo!

Yeah right.  He never got punked, or lost a fight, or got jumped, but he did lose his chain. What's that about, and why doesn't he just tell us what happened?

LOL @ Grundy still upset that I called MC Eiht washed up and wack. Get over guy, damn. I been liked Planet Asia back when you probably thought he was wack cuz he wasn't gangsta gangsta enough.

Asia said that the guy pulled a gun on him. Thats what happened. Regardless, he got his chain back the same day, which is why he said he doesn't get punked.

wow, he released it as his club single, that just blows everything I said out the water.  since he released it as a single they MUST be playin it in clubs all across the country.  just like every other westcoast club single that they play in clubs across the country.  must be the same as all the radio singles created by westcoast artists that get tons of radio play across the country.  hey how about the video singles made, you know they are all over TRL.  if it was made for a video single, than it HAS TO BE PLAYED, right, thats the logic.  You know like Crooked I's Still the Row, or Boo Yaa Tribe's Bang On, or Sly Boogie's California, or Suga Free's Thinkin, I know those were on the Top 5 TRL for 18 weeks in a row, all because they were video singles.  Radio, clubs, and tv all like to share the spotlight with artists.  they don't want snoop, 50 cent, nelly, lil jon to get all the play, so they share it with people like planet asia, crooked I, the relativez, mitchy slick, c-bo, etc.  yeah, come to think of it, last night I was gettin jiggy wit it at the club to planet asia, and come to think of it even more, EVERYBODY in the club was singin the song.  at first the dj wasn't gonna spin it, but he said, "you know, I wasn't gonna do this one, BUT, he made a club single, so I gots to do it!"

LMAO @ this faggot choking on another man's 6 inches of beef.

I could care less what you call a rapper.  I think eiht is washed up too, as is 90% of the industry.  but I don't go talking shit about rappers who have had great careers, and then go bump some wack ass shit and call it good music.

I don't understand why you like asia, he doesn't fit your standard of good music.  you can't tell me he is crackin, he is definately not the type of rapper that the whole country is in to.  a perfect example is your theory about eiht.  You say nobody is talkin about eiht, well even less people are talkin about asia.  I like asia, and I like his recent work better than eihts recent work.  but I'm just going by your logic on what makes good music.  cuz he ain't crackin, girls don't wanna hear him at the club.  You can't tell me more people know who planet asia is than MC Eiht.  And Asia definately is not making the type of music that everyone is buying and playing, so when you support him, wouldn't you be ruining rap?  just like g-funk is not the type of music everyone is buying and playing and by wanting it people are ruining rap?  so tell me how your logic fits into this one.

Tell me where I said I only like rappers who in the top of the industry, because you're FIXATED on that. You really don't know what you're talking about do you? Planet Asia can and will pack a show in L.A. faster than Eiht, hence, he's STILL crackin', whereas Eiht is not. THATS where my logic fits in. Planet Asia still crackin' enough to go Nationwide with Inspectah Deck, when was the last time Eiht toured? LOL. Asia has Evidence of Dilated Peoples producing his next record, he's STILL crackin'. He's got a track on the New NFL Street 2 Soundtrack. He was also on the Be Cool Soundtrack.

When I support Asia, I'm supporting good up to date Hip Hop. Asia has evolved as a rapper, from when he came out doing shit like "Fresno State Of Mind" to now where he IS doing joints like "It's All Big." He's changed with the times and updated his style, as opposed to still trying to re-create the magic of the mid 90s, like MC Eiht... which holds Hip Hop back!

So I hope you understand now, Planet Asia is the definition of WHAT'S CRACKIN'.
