Was Snoop dissin Dre on the DoggFather Intro?
« on: June 13, 2005, 10:34:28 PM »
After Dre left Deathrow in 96 didn't he declare gangsta rap dead, and then on Snoop's intro he stated
 "Yea
This is dedicated to u niggas who say gangsta rap is dead...
   ...fuck y'all"
Was that aimed at Dre or was Snoop just sayin it just to say it.

Yeah it was...and Yeah there was quite a few disses on that album aimed toward Dre, "Some Inmates Escape/ And Some Won't!"...Snoop was still cool with Dre after he left Death Row, Snoop even tried to get Dre on "Tha Dogg Father" but Suge wasn't having it, it was all covered in The Source and Vibe back in the day, Dre said that Snoop came by his house and played some tracks from "Tha Dogg Father" and he thought it was good, but then Dre started that "Gangsta Rap Is wack and dead", and reunited with RBX, and they started subliminal disses, recall RBX line from "Blunt Time"..."I Heard A Dog Yelping/ But No Helping!", see Snoop was trying to get back with Dre but egos got in the way, Suge wasnt having any Death Row artist fuck with Dre, and Dre was looking at them like why not? See Dre left Death Row because he wanted to start producing R&B, Rock And Roll, he discussed all this in The Source, he wanted to be on some Puffy shit...it's true, recall "The Firm" and the King T duet "Step On By"? also the Aftermath cd is full of R&B and only two songs were hardcore and belonged to RBX and King T...

Yeah...didn't he say somethin like "a beat never made me, I don't give a fuck about no beat" it was obvious to me. Dre n Snoop always go thru ups n downs
