Lakers-Hornets trade
« on: June 20, 2005, 11:24:10 PM »
Eric Pincus of HoopsWorld.com reports... The Lakers are exploring a deal with the Hornets sending Jamaal Magloire and PJ Brown to LA for Caron Butler and ending contracts. Such a deal is not likely to be executed until after June when Magloire's base year compensation status expires.  Such a deal would look something like Jamaal Magloire and  PJ Brown for Caron Butler, Vlade Divac, Chucky Atkins and Jumaine Jones.  Also in discussion is LA sending the 10th and 17th picks to New Orleans for the 4th pick in the draft

I told u Lakers were gonna move up. key word 3,4,5.  lakers wanna any of those picks.

this trade works out. last year the only players over 6'10" were Odom and Mihm. Now we have 7 foot Magloire who was an all star center in 2004. 6'11" power forward PJ Brown and the # 4 pick in exchange for Trash.

Remember this next tuesday on draft night. GERALD GREEN.

You don't know annything about b-ball,phil already said Lamar is going to play SF next season,so if we could get 2 big men for Caron i'll do it in a second,we are desperate for big men, plus i think phil wants luke walton as his back up SF

Very interesting. Like i said, if we do that and we select a good player (Green looks promising), then the George-Bender trade will looks different. That's the key.

About Magloire and Brown, i like them both. Jamal is a solid player, something we miss, and PJ is a great defender, something we miss.

Atkins (x), Bryant (x), Odom (Walton), Brown (Grant), Magloire (Mihm)

Better than last season, but still not enought.

PJ brown is tight and the fourth pick can't be that bad, hopefully we can do something better than last year

Magloire is much more of an asset to any team than Caron Butler is/was will ever be.  Caron Butler is just an average Sg/Sf while Magloire is tough and has a real inside presence that many teams are lacking and looking for....Magloire wont back down from anyone inside and will bring it every game....Hes a good shot blocker, rebounder and will give you 15 points a night

Lakers should get rid of Butler and draft at his position...

to be honest, this looks like "expansion year" nr. 2 for the lakers. but phil is the difference, therefore a playoff spot is realistic. not more. first round sweep.

No, it's not a sin
