I just got RAPED!

I needed a spare key for my car, so I had to order it through the BMW dealership.  I got the cheapest key they had, no little light in it or anything.  And it was $71.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never go to dealerships for anything, but that's the only way you can get a new key for a BMW (or so I was told).  They take your VIN and then get it cut according to that.

You can get a key cut at Home Depot or whatever hardware shop you have in your area. I got a spare cut for my car. What year is your BMW? A lot of them are starting to come with a microchip so only that key can start the car. Maybe that is why it was so expensive.
