I remember back in the day picking up the source mag when it was still good.  This issue had Dr.Dre on the cover with a gun to his head and it was a little before the Chronic came out.  They were talking about a song called Mr.Officer and they printed the chorus for it.  The chorus is the same from the Geto Boys Crooked Officer song.  Did Death Row give the track to the Geto Boys?  Anyone know the story?

no idea...

3 things though..

1) remember bushwick bill is on The Chronic

2) mellowman posted that the song was played in some documentary about the LA Riots (maybe why it didnt end up on the album after all?)

3) didn't michel'le kinda remake it on the chronic 2000 album death row put out? at least thats what i heard...

dunno mellow said it woz in the background of one tho
Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program

no. the michelīle track has a " mr officer, mr officer, I don't wanna be layin in a coffin, sir" hook.
the hook from the og mr officer cut was "mr officer, mr officer, i wanna see u layin in my coffin, sir"

First thing I thought of was Bushwick being on The Chronic. Make the connection.
