Outside of the west...

Erick Sermon, Big Daddy Kane, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface, Q-Tip, Mos Def, Common, De La Soul, Nas, Redman

I guess Biggie CAN be hated even though he had mad lyrical skills - he went pop just a bit too much at times.

^^ understand what you mean with Big, but he still kept it real and shit, can see why he went kinda pop at times considering puff was his best mate and he was into the whole eastcoast pop thang.
agree with tha rest like meth, mos def, nas etc..... would also put KRS:One down aswell,

It would be nice if people give the reasons of their choices.

WEST COAST:
Kokane - Coz he is probably the most original west coast artist
Snoop - Coz he's the King of the Coast for what he did in the past
Daz - Coz even with that So So Fag record deal he's kepping it real, and what a hell of a producer
Tupac - Coz he's Tupac
Mc Eith - The fist to said "Fuck those pink t-shirt", GEAH
Suga Free - Coz he's probably the only real Pimp out there
Bad Azz - Raw pure talent and a perfect flow to match

Your probably gonna ask "why no Dre".  Coz he's with those G-Unit bitches, and you CAN hate them as hard as you want.

EAST COAST and SOUTH:
Talib Kweli, Common, Mos Def, Dead Prez - Respect that concious shit, no choice
The Roots - Real live music with real musicians and real lyrics
Outkast - They were Crunk way befor that faggot Lil Jon
Nas - Always speak with his heart
Biggie - One of the GOAT
RZA - Originality at his best, just think Kill Bill OST

If there is one rapper I can't really say anything bad about,it's Warren G.

As for DJ Quik, letting all his homies rot to work with Chingy and Wyclef Jean is a hateable thing to me!
Z knows about ALL your inner conflicts..

I'll actually disagree with you on some of that.
* The RZA as a rapper - I think he's terrible. By a looooooooooooong distance the worst emcee inside of Wu-Tang, but thank God he's a great producer.
* Dead Prez - I love 'em but damn right people can hate on them. They're revolutionary, and to most people their lyrics and the sound of their music just won't appeal.
* Suga Free - How does being a "real pimp" make you a good rapper that can't be hated on? He seems fucking wack to me, with his voice, flow and bullshit lyrics.
* Kokane - Well, if you love his style, you'll love him, but once again he's not really one of those that were born to entertain the masses (as in, rock billboard charts etc). Kokane's style can be very annoying at times if you ask me. On the other hand, he can do great things at times. I'm sure there's people that "hate" him though.
* MC Eiht - Well, if it was just for the reason you mentioned... As a rapper I like Eiht, but I guess he's one of those "love it or leave it" artists. Born to stay underground I'd say.

So... For the people out there in the regular world who aren't really into rap but who also don't dislike it... The other rappers you listed could do some nice things. I kinda thought that was the point of the thread - pointing out rappers that could easily be loved by one side (regular people) without losing support from the other side (real hiphop fans).

Ren, Eazy, Bone, Big Hutch (or for that matter ATL), Knocc Out & Dresta and Kokane.... I just don´t know... I got attracted to that whole West Coast rap via the Ruthless people... so no matter what they´re doing I still can´t hate them cause they gave me so much good music which at some point really freaked me out... in a positive way of course...
