Bet, Ja Rule is going to prison! update...
« on: July 18, 2005, 11:48:10 AM »
Federal prosecutors are focusing on multi-platinum rapper Ja Rule in their ongoing investigation of record label The Inc. and the company’s alleged ties to Queens, New York drug dealer Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff.

According to the New York Post, Ja Rule and two bodyguards face possible federal charges including “conspiracy to commit murder,” after a shooting in December of 2004 left one man dead and another injured.

The charges stem from a December 27, 2004 incident at a club in New York where Ja Rule was celebrating a post-Christmas party.

Surveillance tape recorded Ja Rule and his entourage leaving Club LQ as William “Willie Bang Bang” Clark, 39 and Troy Moore, 37, were entering the venue.

Sources told AllHipHop.com it was well known on the streets that Clark aka “Billy Bang” and Moore were allegedly behind a string of robberies involving celebrity rap stars, including one of Foxy Brown’s brothers.

Moore is cooperating with authorities in an attempt to avoid gun charges. Also, Moore is the elder brother of Tyran “Tah Tah” Moore, who is already linked to the murder, money laundering and drug dealing probe of Irv Gotti’s record label, The Inc. by federal investigators.

Some of the incidents were never reported to police, who are investigating several other record labels and artists as well the Post reported.

Footage seized by the NYPD of the club’s parking lot captured Ja Rule’s vehicle starting to leave as Clark and Moore arrived.

The vehicle stopped as one of the bodyguards ran to the side of the saying to the other: “come with me it’s going down.”

One of the bodyguards then exited the vehicle and as Ja Rule’s vehicle pulled away, the two men open fired, fatally wounding Clark and injuring Moore.

According to the Post, authorities believe that Ja Rule’s bodyguards were enraged that the men came to the party, given their notorious reputations.

Ja Rule denied involvement in the shooting previously and his lawyer, Murray Richman also denied that his client was involved.

"There's no truth to this matter and I am confident Ja Rule has enough sense to not be involved in this type of situation," Richman told AllHipHop.com.

Sources told AllHipHop.com that an investigation into various New York Hip-Hop record labels started as early as 1996, when police noticed unnamed Brooklyn men attach themselves to rappers and other entertainers.

Soon afterwards the “Hip-Hop Intelligence Unit” was created to monitor the Hip-Hop industry in New York.

That quickly spread to other cities across the country including California, New York, Georgia and Miami, due to authorities belief that the rap industry was organizing along the lines of traditional organized crime.

He's a dumbass. It's funny how rappers can get paid, and still rob, loot, fight, and go broke. Similar to DMX dumbass.

Ja Rule's latest video may land the hip-hop star in a heap of trouble.

But this clip isn't for a new track--rather, it's surveillance footage seized by the NYPD of a 2004 New York club shooting. And the tape reportedly links the rapper to the crime.

According to the New York Post, Rule is now at the center of a federal investigation into who shot two men outside the popular Manhattan nightspot Club LQ after a party for the rapper last Christmas.

One of the victims, 39-year-old William Clark, died as a result of the gun battle.

Although the Dec. 27 party was in Rule's honor, it was unclear in the immediate aftermath whether the rap star was at the event at the time of the shooting.

Now, police say, video seized from the club shows Rule's entourage leaving the club around 3:30 a.m. just as Clark and another man, Troy Moore, were walking nearby.

Per the Post, Rule's car is seen coming to a halt, one of his bodyguards runs to the vehicle, taps on the window and says, "Come with me, it's coming down." Then, shots allegedly erupt from Rule's ride, seriously wounding Moore and killing Clark.

Rule's attorney, Murray Richman, said the "Holla Holla" rapper is innocent of any wrongdoing.

It's not known exactly what the nature of the beef was between Clark and Moore and Rule's posse. Both victims had a criminal past, according to the New York Daily News, each serving stints in prison. Moore has reportedly been cooperating with investigators. But so far, the feds have not publicly commented on a motive for the shooting.

Moore is the brother of Tyran "Tah Tah" Moore, is jailed in New York while awaiting sentencing on a federal weapons charge. Tah Tah Moore is an associate of The Inc. boss Irv "Gotti" Lorenzo and crack lord Kenneth McGriff, who is accused of using the label to launder drug money and is in prison on an unrelated conviction.

Tah Tah Moore and McGriff were fingered by 50 Cent as possible trigger men behind the infamous 1999 shooting that left the rap star with nine bullet holes in his body. Both Fiddy and his mentor, Eminem, have openly feuded with Ja Rule and his crew.

The Inc., which is home to Rule and artists like Ashanti, changed its name from Murder Inc. as part of an image makeover. The label is embroiled in several criminal investigations. The Post reports the investigation of the Club LQ shooting is related to a federal probe of Gotti.

Rule--who one once rapped "I'm a murderer, murdering anything that moves"--may face federal charges for the shooting, including "conspiracy to commit murder," according to the Post. But he is reportedly cooperating with authorities, and has not officially been charged with any crime in connection with the case.

Still, the gravel-voiced emcee has not been impervious to trouble.

He faced assault for beating up a clubgoer in Toronto earlier this but avoided jail time after striking a plea deal. Rule, who apologized to the city for his behavior, still faces a civil suit from the man who says Rule injured him.

And last summer, Rule got acquainted with a New York jail cell after getting busted for driving without a license and marijuana possession. The pot count against the Queens-born rhymer was eventually dropped after he shelled out $550 in fines and court fees

i dont think pac was raped in prison... not everyone does get raped, especially a figure like pac, that shot at cops, and was a man for his people... pac had street cred and respect, that would follow through to prison.

you think killers, rapists, drug dealers etc gave a fuck about who Pac was on the outside? bottom line is that everybody can clown these rappers for gettin raped in the pen but if those motherfuckers wannna run through your shit what can you really do about it? and especially a figure like Pac would be raped because he had a big mouth, acted like he was g´d up etc and if you come with that attitude to the pen i´m sure there´s a few peeps that wanna bring you back to reality. i´m not sayin that Pac was indeed raped coz there´s no way in the world i could know but would it really make a difference if he was? would it make his music worse?
