Me and my homeboy are interested in starting up a label, and we basically wanna know what to do as far as publishing and copyrights are concered involving lyrics, and instrumentals.Like basically how do we get our shit secure enough where we can sell it and make money off it.I had alot of information in the past, given to me by AON but Ive lost it.He told me about ASCAP/BMI and other stuff.
I basically wanna know how to start the label, making it so we file our fictious name to get paid off it, etc.I.E. if we wanna start Rapping Bullshit Records how do we go about to copyright it and then get publishing for the records,lyrics,beats, etc.Any help is valuable and appreciated, so holla back if yall got details.Thanks.
