i mean, i love his flow and shit on Addictive, and especially the remix.  But damn, does he really gotta talk about drug dealing and shit just cuz he is rolling with Dre now?  Fuck, i can here every other rapper talkin about flippin keys and grams, etc etc.  I listen to rakim for deep lyrics, knowledge, etc.  
    I know Ra had joints about the ladies and the hood back in the day, but it was just......done in a classier way.  His addictive verses are HOT, they just aren't Rakim.  I am sure his album will be HOT too, but it doesn't disappoint his hardcore fans who love hsi earlier stuff, much the way a lot of Xzibit's fans are disappointed with his new subject matter (crip walkin, gangsta shit), or with Ras kass tryin to dumbdown his lyrics and go with the typical LA gangsta sound.  

Rakim is the GOD, he will be no matter what, but i hope he can kick his real shit, and not what he thinks will sell (he gonna sell anyway with the hype, and Dre's beats/association).

I agree. I was expecting something less mainstream on his addictive verse. I think his album will be deep though.

Honestly...Homie all the guy's u mentioned are so good, that anything they put out will be looked at under a miscroscope..

I'll bump anything affiliated wit' Ra, Ras, Or X anytime of the week, cause they always come with heat.
But yeah I understand where ya come from, but I still look at this as a fan, I'm hyped for they work.
