i just spent 30 minutez on tha batline to crooked i... cali boyz was going to be the 1st single from boss music but due to fans negative feedbacc its dropped and they will release a different single,this song is now a hype song to create buzz .but the bad newz the album is set to not drop this year but the 1st quarter of 2006 instead.if this is the case crooked i will release his dvd this fall instead. and will boss music be on treacherous after kyoung flopping and jayo bouncing? we will have to wait and C

That's good to hear though...I hope the "real" first single will make a stronger impact when first listening to it than the beat from Cali Boyz. I think that nowadays, in order to blow up with a first single as an up-and-coming artist, you simply gotta have a massive single.

Unless you're somebody like Game, you can build up your hype by being down with a popular camp (Aftermath & G-Unit [when the album came out of course]). But since that's not the case with Crooked I, he's rolling solo, so it all depends on the first single. Which is A LOT of weight on his shoulders I assume...

I hope he brings us something mind-blowing this time

I 'm waiting this album for years but good thing it will drop in the 1st quarter instead of later this year when ton of albums will be out and Crook would have no attention. The 1st quarter is a good choice for new artists (first 50, Kanye, Game came out and were succesfull). Now he has to release another single and begin to make mixtapes on the NY market  . we all waiting a Crook album since 2000. DR , Treacherous are 2 bullshit labels. Need to leave and sign with a serious label on which he gonna be able to release a LP and have a good push

It's frustrating being a fan of his music, but all this hype and no releases must be gettin at Dominic aswell.

You can tell the mans a perfectionist, he gotta drop this mixtape soon to keep people happy. Maybe you're correct about joining a major force, but I still think he can rise to the top with Treacherous.

This first-single is everything, Boom Boom Clap has heeped alot more pressure on his shoulders for a massive first-single from Boss Music.

iīm really starting to think that Crooked I will go down as possible the best rapper that never dropped an album coz he just canīt seem to find a suitable home. if i donīt get a Crooked album before 2007 then iīll give up but Crooked is just as much at blame here as Treacherous coz it doesnīt seem like heīs made a lot of efforts to get on mixtapes in NY and goin around the country doin small club shows etc.
