just going by personal experience really thats the impression i've gotten from those who i have met. however i dunno what the fuck is up with your program to kill all those seals and why they thought they needed to attack the natives, canada is so big there was enough for everyone.

--- End quote ---

Allow me to explain.  First of all, most Canadains aren't even aware of the seal hunts that go on.  I'll touch on the Native issue a bit for a second.  The natives in Canada get special treatment, and then complain about it.  They get a HUGE tax break, they get to live on reservations where they can pretty much do what they want.  They can actually kick the police off the reservation.  They get cheap gas and cigarettes, and they can go to college for free.  But some how they still seem to find a way to blame the white man for poisoning their culture with alcohol.  And on top of all that, Canada still embraces the Native culture.  Vancouver International Airport is full of totem poles and Native art.  We even have native art on our 20 dollar bill.  AND, natives still own a lot of land, and they lease it to the federal government.  For example, they own land on the north side of the Lions Gate Bridge in North Vancouver, the federal government pays 35 million dollars a year to lease it, and the land is empty!

oh and they get to kill a whale every year too.

and even tho Canada is one of the biggest countries in the world, something like 85% of all people live within 2 hours from the US border.
