VILLARREAL VS. EVERTON!!!
« on: August 24, 2005, 05:23:17 AM »
COME ON THE BLUES.

2-1 to them from the first leg.  It means we gotta win this game 2-0 or 3-1, or any other score that counteracts their away goals.

Gunna be a hard game but Everton have always fought through tough games like this.  Come on Everton.  Predictions.

I am gunna say.

1-1.  Won't be enough but we will do ourselves proud.

I don't see how drawing 1-1 would be doing yourselves proud, thats nearly as bad as describing Celtic's Champions League performance last season as heroic when they only picked up four points in the group stage, which is what I've heard from some quarters.

I think Everton will score, but I just think Villarreal have a little too much quality on the counter attack, which combined with a lack of pace (Yobo excluded) in your defense is gonna mean that they're gonna score at least once on the counter attack. I think if Everton can get an early goal and and manage to nullify Riquelme then you might have a chance of nicking another before the end and scraping though.

My prediction however will be another 2-1 Villarreal win.

Good prediction.

But we were robbed.  Nothing wrong with Fergusons goal.  Collina was against us all match.  Fucking disgrace he was tonight.  We still did well, took it too them on their own turf like they did to us.  If Fergusons goal would of been allowed then who knows.  But thats football.

Collina is a very good ref but he has one huge default : He'll never understand players are the stars , not the ref, he always wants to steal the show

fuck you, clearly you know nothing about football if you look at facts but nothing else.

yes on paper they gained 4 points but sometimes the record books don't tell the whole story.

get your facts right before you start running your mouth on shit you don't even understand.

yeh unlucky bez they were robbed according to everything i've read.

do you drop to uefa cup?

2-1, unlucky....
In the end Villarreal just had more individual class.. Least everton will be more at home in the UEFA Cup can potential do well within that...
As for the league im thinkin you'll finish 6th...
