Just did my first feature for ''Hip Hop Connection'' magazine!

After being in contact with the Deputy Editor of the mag for a couple of months, he suddenly hit me a few days ago asking if I'd be interested in doing a 400 word Q&A with an MC called Riddla. Riddla was crowned the hottest unsigned hip hop act in the UK at this year's Diesel-U-Music awards, and I had to speak to him about that whole experience of victory, his background, what he has planned next, etc. When I phoned him I was pretty anxious, because I had never really done anything like that before - I tend to write either features or reviews for DubCNN, and AllHipHop. Dude was really friendly and humble when I got in contact - I guess this was just as big a break for him as it was for me. Got invited to one of his shows which was kinda cool. He's in talks with a few UK majors about releasing his solo and, after hearing some of his music, I was quite impressed. I sent the final copy of the interview in the other day and the Deputy Ed said he would be back in contact soon - hopefully, this will lead to more work for them.

Just wanted to share this news 'cause a lot of my friends aren't really into hip-hop so, whilst they are happy for me, they aren't as interested in the music aspect. The issue is coming out mid September - can't wait to see my name in there. Over here in the UK, ''HHC'' is definitely the biggest rap magazine - bar the American ones such as ''XXL'', and ''The Source''.

Up next: I'm working on a real in-depth feature on one of my fave West Coast rappers which I hope will go up on DubCNN...I'm quite excited about this one since I've put a lot of effort into it.
