Addictive is front page news in Indian newspaper

Addictive by Truth Hurts made frontpage news in THE BOMBAY TIMES today. Heres the whole article.

LATA TRACK USED IN R&B TRACK

'Bollywood is gaining immense popularity among non-indians across the globe, but a recent recording which included Lata Mangeshkar's track on the mainstream US charts went completely unnoticed here. A bit similar to the Moulin Rouge concept where 'Chamma Chamma' was mixed in one of the songs of the soundtrack, it was a Dr. Dre protege who used 'Thoda resham lagta hai, thoda sheesha lagta hai..' in the single Addictive. It hit No. 5 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart and No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts.
Says audio analyst Anand Mehra, "They have slightly increased the speed of the song, so Lata sounds a bit different in the non-stop loop."
The idea of including a bollywood track was that of producer DJ Quik, who underlaid the hindi track and later vocals were added with a little rap from artist Rakim. Addictive will release on Indian music channels and radio stations by the end of the month.'

whats weird is that the article mentions dre, quik and even rakim but no mention of truth. hehe

Well, at least they mentioned DJ Quil. For being the mastermind behind the wonderful sample, he seems to get the least amount of credit.
