Pecador, an original pioneer of Latin Hip-Hop and still recognized as the most prolific Spanish lyricist. The question remains: What's up with El Pecador? "Confesiones de un Pecador" is the answer, his solo debut album on Universal Latino has been long awaited and is now considered the most highly anticipated by fans worldwide.
El Pecador delivers clever rhymes and heavy punch lines with irresistible hooks over eargasmic production by David Salas. El Pecador a former member of rap group "The Mexakinz", debuted their first album "Zig Zag" in 1993 on Motown Records onto Billboard's top 40 Heat seeker chart. CMJ Magazine described this album as "a textural fire storm smothered with Latin street culture that relies on straight forward hip hop bravado." Their critically acclaimed sophomore self-titled album "Tha Mexakinz," was released in 1996 on Wild West Records in the U.S.A. and Sony/Edel Records in Europe. Again critics and radio responded unanimously hailing them as "the most credible force in Latin hip hop."
El Pecador has recorded with premiere artists such as: Xzibit, Kam, Ras-Kas, Daz, Chino XL to name a few. Also, has worked with board smith producers: Thayod (G-Unit, Lloyd Banks, Xzibit, Tha Liks, etc...), Bird (Treach of Naughty by Nature, Onyx, Nice & Smooth, W.C., etc...), Field Marshall a member of Sublime (KRS-One, Barry Levington, Lords of Brooklyn, etc...), Kollaborators (Crooked I, Bad Azz, Ms. Toi, King Tee, etc...), Discreet Merchants (E. White, Techniec, Evidence of Dilated Peoples, LMNO Beat Junkies, etc...).
His main focus is to draw attention to a Latin hip hop market that's largely overlooked. 2004 will surely be the year fo El Pecador to hit the streets and establish his position as the undisputed heavyweight king of Latin hip hop.
