Hell, even Danny Murphy would be more useful than Hargreaves.
Wright-Phillips first-touch was a bit sloppy, but Beckham was finding him with regularity, and he was the man point of attack England had. I really don't understand why he was removed, because that left England without the only option that seemed could find creativity.
Overall, it's dreadful. Young wasn't bad in both games, but neither good, he looks clueless on the over-lap, how he started over P.Neville is beyond me.
All in all, go back to the standard 4-4-2 with the following four in midfield:
Gerrard _ Lampard _ Beckham _ Wright-Phillips
