I would have to go with Soopafly.  His beats range from gangsta.. to pimpin.  

Example: Loosen Control on the pimp side.. and Underestimated by Dru on the gangsta side.

Battlecat is dope.. but alot of his beats have that same sound / feel to them.

battle cat iz way better i luv all his beat especially concrete streets on nate doggz cd. and tha only beat i like from soopafly iz "may i" on snoops dead man walkin and "sumthin to bounce" to on warren gz album. im out!!!

I like Battlecat the better of those 2.
Soopa might be funky, but he's often a little boring, and doesn't have that much variation in his beats.
Battlecat might not have much variation neither, but he's tight sometimes.
