I think they announced this plan to have 6 series and something like 16-17 episodes in each one of them before series 4 started...I THINK...im not fully sure so yeh next season will be the last. Its one of only a few shows i watch and is probably the only show i keep fully in tune with sorta thing, like episode by episode so like im going to be dissapointed when it stops! I agree though, cant believe they spent pretty much the whole season in 1977! lol

i dont think its only 6 seasons cause of poor ratings. the ratings are good i'm pretty sure. they announced only 6 seasons before season 4 it was i think. how long can u drag this type of show out for? i love the show, my favorite of all time and i'll be disappointed/sad when its done, but it seems right. this show wouldn't be good and they'd ruin if it they dragged it out for many more seasons.

Yeah, that is true but it's still kind of sad seein that the show will end after the next season. "Lost" is one of the best shows ever, i just hope they can come up with a great ending to the show.

oh of course it's sad..it's my favorite show of all time..the ending better be worth it

Naah, they gonna do 6 seasons only. The viewer ratings been dropping so heavy, i guess that's the reason.

the show still has strong ratings, but they announced in 2007 that the 2010 season would be the last.

ABC have actually talked about doing a LOST movie after the tv series ends, we'll see what happens though

the producers have also said that there will be no sopranos ending on lost and and most of the burning questions will be answered. questions low on the totem pole, such as libby's backstory etc wont be wrapped up but most of the major shit will

the producers actually asked ABC for an end date, because they didnt want to do a show where they had to keep planning shit for the next season. getting an end date of 3 seasons meant they could start answering questions and getting to the meat of the show (time travelling), rather than having to plan another season which would have a few filler episodes (claire trying to get people off the island with a homing pigeon? LOL) and making all of the episodes quality

I LOVED IT....until the last 10 minutes. Mostly, I enjoyed the Jacob visits to the Losties, especially since they were all during cataclysmic events in their lives.

BUT

that new character at the beginning W/ Jacob who apparently has taken the body form of Locke? STUPID. Locke has been dead all season? I know there may be an explanation for this, but if everything is what it seems, this situation really bothers the fuck outta me

Jacob is some sort of special figure (never ages) but dies that easily? Although his death scene (if he's actually dead) was great cause that may be the first time we see Ben being genuine.

How the hell did Juliette survive that fall?

Is Christian really alive or was that the same guy taking another form?

The Rose/Bernard scene was somewhat cheesy and they've been living there the entire time w/o Dharma or any Others finding them?

One of my favorite mysteries was the Richard aging situation, and they better get more into that than simply "i'm like this because of Jacob"

I know I just had a lot of complaints, but ultimately, I can live with them BESIDES the Locke dead bodily form thing. I really hated that.

Lookin' forward to next season though, the final. Did Juliette really detonate the bomb? will see.

i thought it was great!! i enjoyed all of it. from the beginning scene between jacob and that dude to the very last words "they're coming"...who the fuck is jacob talking about? lol i cant fucking wait to see how this all turns out.
