UK: Please Read & Respond Either Way...Concerts (Domino, Outlawz, Mack 10....)

Ok let me first emphaise that this is currently "in-negotiation" so its not set in stone however i need to get some feedback from you guys about if i run some Gigs in early 2006. Currently we are negotiating with many artists, we hope to be THE promoters for artists that mainstream promoters dont bring over, that artists use to come to the UK. For this we NEED YOUR HELP!

I need you all to support any gigs we run, if we are successful then we can bring over many more artists and ensure we can secure larger venues, so ok what i need to know...

IF we run 2 gigs when artists are here in the UK, ie, North & a South (around Manchester possibly in the north and possibly around london in the south - depending) would you make the effort to attend in the locality nearest to you? Tickets are likely to be around £10-15 dependent on overheads and concert size, this will go to cover costs, advertising and promo.

I need to get some idea of numbers of you here on the board and how many people that you know that may come along with you? The domino gig we know will be a more intimate affair however the outlawz we are aiming to get 2000 people in each venue....to set up something like that i want to start knowing now who will make the effort to come support us...(include numbers of friends etc)

Sounds like a very good idea, I'd be willing to help out in whatever way possible.  I believe there would be enough people interested from North and South to make these concerts sell 2000+ tickets at each venue.

if the shows in England goes well would you consider organizing shows in some other countries in Europe? i could go to the show in London but it would too expensive coz flyin to London if you´re gonna stay for 2 days costs 40 euros then the show and a hotel.

I'd head to a concert with my friends, If the tickets were around £10-£15 that's a bargain when you compare it to some ticket prices being around £40-£50 these days.

yes we intend to branch out to the rest of the EU IF the shows are a success, if people do plan to come to the UK for any gigs i will look at booking cheap accomodation for you to get...doubt i'd be able to help with flights though....when we announce the gigs i will throw that open to people who wanna travel to see the gigs and see how many will come and see bout reduced rate accomodation!

i could get a flight for 30 eruos both ways so that wouldn´t really be nothing. prolly wouldn´t bring any friends though coz i don´t think anyone except for my big bro would wanna go but he got kids and shit so i doubt he´d go.

well you don´t have a date with reservation for changes yet right? if it´s on a weekend(or friday night) and it´s before january i´m definently interested in coming over. the flight´s only for an hour aswell so it wouldn´t be too bad. i´ll get back at you next week about this coz i´m very interested coz most of these artists aint been in my city and they´ll prolly never come to my city and it´ll cost me as much and take me as long to fly to Stockhom to see them so.....

yea, well it depends on the artists, domino is likely to be this year, the outlawz probably not til february! when the site is up ill get you guys all the info! like i say this thread is to gather numbers from here to guage the ideas popularity!

cool, were looking to book them for then as an exclusive gig...promoters in the UK aint expressed interest in the...hence why dubcnn aims to rectify that attitude in this industry!
