Best of M.O.P.
« on: April 26, 2002, 07:05:58 PM »
That's rite ppl, I've done made me a best of CD with M.O.P. with unrealesed, rare & of course released songs.
Before I burn it, I'd like some feedback, if I maybe forgot a song, though I doubt it, cause I been high and low on this project. I also made me a CD-cover for it, which came out pretty dope. If you'd like to copy the project and get the CD-cover I've made, holla on mIRC or AIM. I've planned 2 more best of CD's, of Eastsidaz and Pharoahe Monch.

 1. NO MERCY - 4:24
 feat. Pharoahe Monch
 2. STAND CLEAR - 3:58
 feat. Adam F
 3. LONG TIME REMIX - 4:17
 feat. Journalist
 4. MASQUERADE - 3:57
 feat. Wyclef Jean
 5. W.O.L.V.E.S. - 3:52
 feat. Krumbsnatcha
 6. KEEPIN IT GANGSTA - 5:20
 feat. The Lox & Fabolous
 7. FIGHT CLUB - 5:14
feat. Fat Joe & Petey Pablo
 8. WE RUN NEW YORK - 3:42
 feat. Beatminerz
 9. PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE - 3:56
 feat. Jaz-O
 10. PAPPARAZZI REMIX - 3:50
 11. WARRIORZ - 4:43
 12. WELCOME TO BROWNSVILLE - 3:59
 feat. Tephlon
13. FACE OFF - 4:06
 feat. Tephlon
14. 4 ALARM BLAZE - 4:19
 feat. Tephlon & Jay Z
15. CALM DOWN - 3:43
16. COLD AS ICE - 4:05
17. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS - 3:47
18. LEGENDARY STREET TEAM 2 - 4:20
feat. Kool G Rap
19. HANDLE UR BIZNESS (DJ Premier remix)- 4:14

Yea, I heard both of those on their audition, but they didn't get the job.

Ante up remix was VERY close to make it.
Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

??? ??? Where's "Ante Up", first single off "Warriorz"? ???  How could you possibly exclude that from a "Best Of M.O.P." compilation? Oh, and you should also get "Face Off 2K1" from their latest album on there (2 BRILLIANT Premier beats)... apart from that, the tracklisting looks great... good lookin' out ;)

I be one of those tall skinny cats with the four-nine
Three-eleven that rips through Power-U's and breaks spines
I culture power-tuggin' boys who be drunk, buggin'
Lovin' loud noise from toys, club thuggin'
Sweet chocolate deluxe, rugged, sexy buttercup
That don't give a fuck about the cop in the club

Haha, yea I guess they wanted some real gangstaz on the remix as Fabolous isn't exactly gangsta. BTW The Lox is pretty gangsta, it's ONLY Fabolous that drags the song down, but I tell ya: It's dope!

Other suggestions:
ANTE UP remix : Was the track that would have made it if there was more space.
1/2 & 1/2 f/ GANGSTARR: Pretty dope, but not enuff for the cd.
Stick to ya Gunz w/ Kool G Rap - Pretty good, but too old.
World Famous - Dope indeed, but I like the hardcore M.O.P better.
HOW ABOUT SOME HARDCORE - Very good, but it's too old, and I'm tired of it.
Ante Up - Dope, but I've played it too much.
Face Off - Is on the cd, no questions axed.

Oh aight... I guess a misunderstanding just occured, the "Face Off" version on "Warriorz" does not feature Tephlon.. it's really named "Face Off 2K1", and it's banging... I assume you meant this track... or was there another track named "Face Off" on earlier MOP albums ?

hm, this is the version off Warriorz with Primo on the beat, but I guess Tephlons name shouldn't have sneaked in on the tracklist.

* Runs off to press a new CD-cover *
