As a grown man, I can see why Dre doesn't respond to anyoneanymore. What's the point? When you get older, you just wantto relax. But check this, back in the day, dissing or battling somebodywas a means to get noticed in the Hip Hop game. Newcomerswould come along and diss the established rappers, whetherthey had real beef or not was not an issue. At one time itwas the golden rule in rap. For example, even Salt-N-Pepadissed established legends Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh, making a response record to "The Show". The girls had nobeef with The Get Fresh Crew, they just needed the publicityto jump start their career.Check history, it happens over and over again. LL Cool Jbattled Kool Moe Dee, with the stupid excuse "He bit my style"Them two don't come close to sounding alike, so what's the deal?Kool Moe Dee's career was in the 9th inning, so he actuallyhad to diss Cool J to reignite the fans interest.Dre dissed Luke, Eazy-E, and Tim Dog cuz in reality, Dre wasa newcomer to the solo arena at that time. People weredoubting him, so it became like a new jack trying to makea name for himself. Now Dre is sitting at the top, and he has newcomers, and hasbeens, trying to steal some of his limelight, simple as that. The real pathetic shit is when a veteren like DJ Quik, ora legendary CEO like Suge Knight has to go back to SQUARE ONEin their careers, using the more popular rappers name toboost their lagging popularity.Look at Canibus, he's still dissing away at Cool J, but nobodyeven notices it. When somebody doesn't respond, it's timeto do one of two things: Give Up on this rap game, orpick a fight with somebody who doesn't know the basicsin Hip Hop.PEACEMr. Bennz
