Being down in Australia, and not really havin good hook ups on the net back then like we got dubcc now, what was the vibe when Dre's Chronic 2001 was released?

Anyone actually hate on it?

yeah it got bootlegged... in fact.. a large chunk of the original core membership of this forum met because of the 2001 album on Dr Dre's own official forum... however.. when Eminem's second album dropped the forum became overrun with Eminem groupies who ruined the place.. after a few months of this (and a few other factors like the Dre forums having no moderation) i started this forum as a new home for the Dre fans. (yes there was the b-please WC Killaz/WCA connection.. but 'my' motivation was the new home ideal)

(2001 dropped in nov 1999, eminem's MMLP dropped mid 2000.. this forum was started in jan 2001).

i really started gettin heavily into hip hop around the 2001 era so this album woz one of the first albums i got except for the few albums i bought in the past ie vangaboys, coolio, shaggy and many other discarded albums!
